Daniel in the Bible was a powerful prophet who saw great revelations and could also interpret them. He was also a brave prayer warrior. His strategy for tackling any problem was through consistent prayer.
The following passages show some of his remarkable characteristics:
Daniel 9:23- “As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed.”
Daniel 10:12- “Then he continued, “Do not be afraid Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and humble yourself before your God, your words were heard.”
Daniel was highly esteemed in the Lord’s sight because he humbled himself. In the beginning of Daniel chapter 10, we see that a revelation was given to Daniel and its understanding came to him in a vision. It was concerning a great war that would happen in Israel. Immediately, Daniel prayed and fasted for 3 weeks. Thus, he humbled himself.
Daniel set his mind to receive wisdom and understanding from the Lord, which was given to him in abundance.
Daniel 10:13 continues “But the prince of Persia resisted me 21 days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes came to help me.”
This shows that even Daniel’s prayers got resisted. But that was only for a certain period of time, after which God sent one of His most powerful angels to fight against the enemy.
Hence, the following are the characteristics of a brave prayer warrior:
1. Humble yourself, so that you will be esteemed in God’s sight.
2. Set your mind to seek heavenly wisdom and knowledge. When you do that, God will impart to you the kind of wisdom that will enable you to understand not only heavenly revelations but also worldly situations. As we know, this was how Daniel rose to prominence and became a trustworthy advisor of the king.
3. Remember that if your prayers are getting resisted, it means they are powerful. Don’t give up. The enemy can only resist for a certain period of time. Keep persisting in prayer, and God Himself will send His messengers to you as an answer to your prayer!
Dear prayer warrior, your prayer is changing people’s lives. It can shape someone’s future. It can break the strongholds of hell. Don’t give up! God is on your side.
